PAGES 38 - 48

 

Wounded and dead Asgardian soldiers and some of NEITO'S men lie on the ground. NEITO'S men are holding VOLSTAGG, FANDRAL, HOGUN and a group of Asgardian soldiers as prisoners.

There is no sign of LOKI.

NEITO

(To VOLSTAGG, FANDRAL and HOGUN)

Where is your coward of a king?!

Silence.

NEITO

(To her men)

Take them!

NEITO'S men march VOLSTAGG, HOGUN, FANDRAL and the rest of the captured Asgardian soldiers towards the door of the palace.

THOR and SIF fly in and land near the palace.

NEITO immediately shoots her weapon towards THOR.

SIF is standing behind him. THOR bounces the flash

shooting out of NEITO's weapon past him with his hammer.

THOR holds his hammer up to the skies to get some lighting and directs the lightning towards NEITO. She fires a shot into the lightning. The two converge and blow up in an almighty boom. The boom sends NEITO and her troops flying, they fall backwards onto the ground close by.

THOR and SIF stumble backwards, SIF falls on her back. NEITO and her troops get back up and fire their weapons towards THOR. He manages to divert some of the flashes but not all, some hit him, he flies backwards and crashes near the palace wall. SIF gets up from the ground and runs to him.

SIF

(To THOR)

It's too dangerous, c'mon!

THOR takes hold of SIF, spins his hammer and they fly away.

LOUHI appears from the other side of the horizon in a huge golden flying sleigh pulled by four “Porompi” (Reindeer type animals but bigger, coloured like the northern lights). She is flying the sleigh herself. Her pet LYNX is sitting next to her.

She lands on the grounds near NEITO. She gets out of the sleigh and walks towards NEITO. Her pet LYNX walks by her side.

LOUHI

Ah! Asgard. I've always wanted to sit on

the seat of the mighty Odin. Come!

LOUHI starts to walk towards the palace. NEITO walks

behind LOUHI. A few of NEITO'S soldiers follow them.

NEITO

Thor was just here. I didn't manage to catch him.

LOUHI

Don't worry about him. I will sort him out later.

CUT TO:

INT - THE ASGARDIAN THRONE ROOM

LOUHI, her LYNX, NEITO and a few of her SOLDIERS walk

towards the throne. LOUHI walks up the stairs and sits 
on the throne. Her LYNX sits next to the throne. 
NEITO and the SOLDIERS stand in front of the throne.

LOUHI

Hmmm. It's not very me, is it? We'll have to change it.

Now, what of Odin? Have you captured him?

NEITO

Odin is not king any more. His son Loki is.

LOUHI

Well, where is he then? Did you kill him?

NEITO

I have not seen him since we arrived.

Odin is locked up below the palace.

LOUHI

Right … let's pay him a little visit

to say hello then, shall we?

NEITO

This way.

NEITO walks towards a staircase leading down.

LOUHI, her LYNX and 4 SOLDIERS follow her.

CUT TO:

INT – THE LABORATORY IN LOUHI'S PALACE IN POHJOLA

A portal opens up in a wall. LOKI comes through. The portal

closes. The Sampo is churning out guns, swords and shields.

The SCIENTISTS spot LOKI, stop working and stand back.

KIJA is next to the Sampo with VISIN. KIJA grabs

his gun and points it to LOKI.

KIJA

Halt! Who are you?

LOKI

I am Loki of Asgard. I believe you have

something that belongs to me.

KIJA

You're too late.

LOKI

Am I?

LOKI shoots a fireball towards them. KIJA fires his gun towards LOKI, the fireball and the flash from gun emerge and explode. LOKI spins into the air but lands on his feet near the wall. KIJA and VISIN fly in the opposite direction and fall down near the opposite wall.

LOKI is shaken but not hurt. KIJA and VISIN lie out cold. LOKI fires another fireball towards the Sampo. It bounces off the Sampo and explodes in a fireball above it. He tries again. The same thing happens. VISIN comes to.

VISIN

That's no use. Her Highness has cast a protection

spell. You won't be able to touch it ...

LOKI

Really?!

LOKI conjures up an even bigger fireball and tries again.

The same thing happens, the fireball explodes above the

Sampo taking down even more of the lab ceiling.

VISIN

Stop destroying my laboratory!

LOKI grabs one of the guns from a nearby shelf but 
it flies out of his hands. He picks up another, 
same thing. It seems he can not touch anything 
LOUHI has put a spell on. He kicks over a shelf 
unit full of the guns in frustration.

LOKI

Arrrghhh!

KIJA comes to and gets up. LOKI runs towards a

staircase leading outside. KIJA runs after him.

CUT TO:

EXT – THE GROUNDS OF LOUHI'S PALACE

LOKI runs out of the door and spots a Porompi.

A GROOM is just about to take the saddle of it.

LOKI

(To the GROOM)

Leave that!

LOKI kicks the GROOM in the chest and he falls to 
the ground. KIJA fires his gun towards LOKI. 
He blocks the flash with a fireball. LOKI jumps 
on the animal. It runs for a bit and then 
bolts into the sky. LOKI is surprised.

LOKI

Hmm. So we fly.

KIJA fires a few shots after him but misses.

LOKI disappears into the clouds.

CUT TO:

EXT – ON THE ASGARDIAN RAINBOW BRIDGE NEAR THE BIFROST DOME

LOKI touches down on the Porompi.

HEIMDALL is there to meet him.

HEIMDALL

My Liege. I saw you near Niffleheim

on … whatever this is (Points to

the animal) … and pulled you in.

LOKI turns to look at Asgard. Smoke is

billowing out of various parts of the palace.

LOKI

What has happened here?

LOKI gets off the animal.

HEIMDALL

Louhi has conquered Asgard. I managed to escape

from the battle and have been in hiding.

The Warriors Three are imprisoned.

LOKI

What of Odin?

HEIMDALL

As far as I know he is still here.

LOKI

Can you see Thor? Where is he?

HEIMDALL

He is in Alfheim with The Lady Sif.

LOKI

Open a portal. I need to go and get him.

HEIMDALL

My Liege.

HEIMDALL opens a portal into Alfheim. LOKI runs into it.

The Porompi stands next to HEIMDALL and snorts loudly.

He looks at it not knowing quite what to make of it.

HEIMDALL

Hmmm ...

CUT TO:

EXT – A GENERAL OPEN SPACE OUTSIDE FREY'S PALACE IN ALFHEIM

LOKI comes flying into Alfheim. He crashes onto the ground on his feet. THOR and SIF are nearby. They approach LOKI.

THOR

Loki! Where have you been?!

LOKI

I had a bit of a mishap ...

THOR

A mishap?! You've lost the control of Asgard!

LOKI

Yes, well these things happen …

THOR

I ought to strangle you right now!

LOKI

It would be wiser to save your energy to regain

control of your beloved homestead.

THOR

And how do you propose we do that? Their weapons are

far superior. Most of our troops are dead or

imprisoned. Even I could not stop them!

LOKI

Yes, I have just been to Pohjola and seen the weapons.

We have to come up with another plan rather than

go into battle which we'll be sure to lose.

SIF

(To LOKI and THOR)

Louhi's daughter Neito … She leads the army. She's very

close to Louhi. We could try to negotiate with her.

LOKI

(To SIF)

I doubt she will be willing to sit down

for a friendly chat. We need something a

bit more … devious.

THOR

(To LOKI)

Well, that should be right up your alley.

LOKI

I'll take that as a compliment.

CUT TO:

INT – UNDER THE ASGARDIAN PALACE

LOKI, THOR and SIF enter via a doorway below the palace. LOKI spots one of LOUHI'S GUARDS walking past in a distance and on seeing him morphs to look like him. LOKI walks the hallways freely nodding to other guards he meets while THOR and SIF sneak about. Every time they see guards they hide in the shadows or secret doorways only they know of, places they've been hiding since they were children.

LOKI

(To THOR) Go and see if you can free The Warriors

Three or any others. (To SIF) Sif, come with me, show 
me what Neito looks like. We'll meet back in Alfheim.

THOR nods and leaves the opposite way. LOKI and SIF 
sneak about the place. After a while SIF spots 
NEITO in her quarters through a gap in the door. 
NEITO is standing in the middle of the room 
with her back to the door. She hasn't got any 
of her armour or weapons on her. She is 
taking her clothes off. She lifts her top and 
winces. She has a large wound to her left side.

SIF

(Points to NEITO and whispers to LOKI) That's her.

Be careful, I believe she has some of the powers

of her mother.

LOKI morphs back into himself. LOKI enters NEITO'S room and goes up behind NEITO, pulls a dagger from his coat, takes her by the throat with the dagger and places his other hand on her mouth.

NEITO tries to wriggle loose.

LOKI

A - a - a !

NEITO

(Mumbles) Letgooffme!

NEITO rips LOKI'S hand off her mouth. LOKI

lets go of her, she spins around to face him.

NEITO

Guards!!!

NEITO goes to grab her sword which leaning against

a chair nearby. Loki lunges and gets to it first and

throws it to the other end of the room.

NEITO

Who are you?

LOKI

I am Loki, the King of Asgard.

NEITO

Asgard hasn't got a king. It has a Queen.

LOKI picks up her jacket from the

chair and holds it in front of NEITO.

LOKI

Put that on.

NEITO rips the jacket off Loki and puts it on.

A couple of GUARDS run in the corridor towards

NEITO'S room. SIF fights them and knocks them out.

LOKI moves behind NEITO, pulls out a piece of thick twine type material from his pocket, forces NEITO'S hands behind her back and places the twine on them. He moves his hand over it and the twine ties around NEITO'S hands.

LOKI moves back to the side of NEITO and

makes a gesture to go out of the door.

LOKI

If you wouldn't mind ...

LOKI, NEITO and SIF walk down the corridor away from NEITO’S quarters.

CUT TO:

EXT – A GENERAL OPEN SPACE OUTSIDE FREY'S PALACE IN ALFHEIM

LOKI, SIF and NEITO arrive. THOR is already there.

LOKI

(To THOR)

The Warriors Three?

THOR

They're not at the palace. Louhi has them

some place else. (To NEITO) I suppose

you won't tell us where?

Neito says nothing, just looks at THOR with disdain.
